I'm not sure what to think about this. I'm in a really weird place right now.

Anybody know why most AP and Reuters news items haven't been updated on Yahoo since Sunday afternoon?

Our power finally was finally reconnected today, after being down since Friday morning at 3 am. That sucked.

Today in class we were talking about kids we knew who went to Montessori schools, and how they seem to have a different outlook on life. One of the guys in my class said that Montessori means "quiet fondling." That struck me as pretty damn funny.

Of course we all know that Montessori schools are based on the teachings of Dr. James Montessori, a circuit preacher and Indian fighter who conferred an honorary doctorate on himself in 1898. After founding a series of private schools in Texas and Colorado, Montessori was indicted for mail fraud in 1913 and squandered most of his fortune on his legal defense (after Montessori fired 3 consecutive lawyers, Judge Ezra Asbury took the rare step of forcing him to represent himself). Released from prison in April 1916 due to his failing health, Montessori died of consumption six months later in Bellevue Hospital. Walter Cronkite summed up the life of James Montessori with the words, "He was not a good man, but he was a great man."

"They will tolerate a higher accident rate than the passenger community. It is considered a work-place hazard."

It's not as safe as a helicopter, and has less range than a jet, but that's ok, because nobody really cares when an oil worker or an executive dies anyway. I've mentioned already that I almost got a job either working on the avionics for this plane or the simulator for the osprey.

I had another nightmare last night. It's the same one as usual. It's the end of the semester and I'm retaking some engineering class for the 2nd time(the maximum number of retakes allowed). I find out that I've somehow failed the course again and screwed myself out of being able to graduate. I've been having this dream for the past 3 and a half years.

Repent sinners!! Today is March 3, 2003. 3/3/03. If Jesus is ever coming back, today's the day. If anyone needs me I'll be at church.

If the ACLU really has the courage of its convictions, let's see them stick up for this hornlicker.

I'm suspicious of any position taken by the ACLU. Bunch of cynical baby eaters is what they are.
