So, I was just watching COPS, one of America's finest television programs, and I have something to report. They showed some Florida cops doing drug busts, but not any kind of thing that's reasonable. First, they set up some black cops on the corner as drug dealers. Then, the elite anti-drug guys would sit in unmarked cars around the corner. Then some unlucky person would drive up and buy some weed, the cops in unmarked cars would drive up, and they'd pull the person out of the car and arrest them. In other words, a cop hands you a dimebag and then arrests you for possession. And then, to top it all off, they seize the person's car and tell the poor bastard that if he wants it back, he'll have to buy it from the police department, if they feel like selling it.

Must be nice to be a real drug user in that town, where 15 cops spend the day arresting recreational drug dealers, and leave you completely unmolested.

I just want to know who Mike is. Was that supposed to be there, or was the site hacked?

A Chicks-and-Caskets calendar. I think that page should be voted the Official end of the internet.

We don't need no stinking scams to make money off the internet. We don't even have to pretend to give out free passwords to porno sites. All we have to do is ask. Or maybe we could lace this whole sincerely-asking-for-free-money with a little bit-o-scam and double our take.

On a personal note... I met some new people this weekend, and it was one of the most oddly-pleasant, mildly-stressful, low-pressure, highly-hyphenated situations I've ever found myself in. A dinner party with 3 engineers and 3 4th-year medical students. The 4th year medical students were great. 3rd year is the toughest, from what I hear. They seemed kind of like veterans from the same war, except without so many emotional problems. I do sorta pity them though, because they're all interviewing for their residencies now.

Sundays are very slow around here. In an attempt to occupy myself, I've turned to media. I went and watched Punch Drunk Love again, with a friend. I then bought American Psycho, the new Dooms UK album, Age of Empires II, and Raising Arizona. I also picked up a Dallas Observer. I listened to the album on the way home, and now that I'm here, I am left to decide whether Computer, Book, Magazine, or Movie wins. I guess Internet trumped them all.

I also kind of miss spam. I used to get 20 or so spam emails a day. Now I'm down to 3 or 4, and I long for those days when I could check my email 3 times a day and have several messages to delete every time.

I can't believe the Panthers lost AGAIN! 6 games in a row. In 5 of those games they've been in the lead until the last 5 minutes. In this game they were in the lead until the last minute. In that last minute they gave up two touchdowns to the Saints. In the last 8 seconds Peete fumbled and the Saints retrieved it and ran in a touchdown. They always do that. As soon as the Panthers got the lead in the last half I knew they were going to lose. The only way this team will ever win is if they get an intercept and run it in in the last 10 seconds of a game. They play like a decent team until the win is within their very hands, and then they just flip out. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THEM?!?!

I'll tell you what's wrong. Someone somewhere on that team is betting against themselves. That has to be what it is. Maybe the whole team.
