What is the point of awarding a plaintiff 2 billion dollars in punitive damages when there is a line of 400 other plaintiffs behind that one, and the victim's total assets are valued at no more than 12 million? They say the point is to send a message, but the guy is also going to spend 30 years in prison. It seems like the only message being sent here is we've all lost touch with reality.

I've come up with a plan to get a lawsuit going--I'm going to disassemble my computer monitor and then lick the capacitor, or whatever it is that will fry the hell out of me. Then I'm going to sue whomever made this monitor, because there are obviously no warning signs that say, "Don't disassemble this monitor and lick the capacitor," even though that's very possibly a fatal accident waiting to happen. Not only is there no warning label, but I shouldn't even be able to gain access to something so inherently dangerous. How completely negligent on the part of the manufacturer.

This is why we die, if for no other reason, of old age. Except for one Henrietta Lacks, whose tumor will outlive us all.

The CIA sent a letter to Pres. Bush saying that Iraq is only likely to use its weapons of mass destruction if attacked by the US. Tenet says that Hussein is unlikely to attack us if provoked.

I think this is the real reason the US offensive stopped at Basra during the first Gulf War. We were unable to secure all of Iraq's chemical and biological weapons, and we knew that if Hussein felt his life was in danger, he would launch his weapons.

Last week I was in NYC and I saw some guy walking up Broadway wearing a black t-shirt that said "free palestine" and had a picture on a man throwing a molotov cocktail on the front, and said "end israeli apartheid" on the back. I absolutely cannot find this shirt. If anyone can find it online, I wanna buy one.

For those of you living under a rock, or out of reach of a TV, radio, or newspaper; there is a psycho running around shooting people randomly near DC. My money is that it's an ex-marine. We haven't had one of those go nuts in a while.

Words to live by:

"They wanted to go for the brass ring and really live the good life," Braxton said. "What they don't seem to get is that the key to living the good life is to avoid that brass ring like the fucking plague."
