Bill is doing the lakehouse thing in Nocona again this year. Word is there's gonna be a caravan from Kharma Cafe at 9:30 or 10AM on the 4th. If you don't feel like getting up at that ridiculously early hour, you can just follow these directions at your leisure:
From Denton--
Take I-35 NORTH.
In Gainesville, exit WEST on Highway 82. (This exit is easy to miss--if you pass Twelve Oaks Hotel, you've proved my point.)
Take 82 into Nocona.
Turn RIGHT on Clay St. (I believe it's the 2nd light. Or rather, I know it's the second light and I believe it's Clay Street.) This will eventually turn into 103 or somesuch. Continue on this until you reach the flashing yellow lights.
Turn RIGHT.
Go for a while until the road forks.
Take the LEFT fork.
Go for a while, you will pass a sign for a Snow's Marina and cross a bridge over a spillway. Keep going. Eventually the road will curve to the right and climb a tall hill or two. Toward the top, you will see a white wooden fence on your right.
Turn RIGHT here into the gravel drive.
There are several lake cabins in this area. If you followed the gravel road straight, you would run directly into mine. It has a chimney.
