So there was just this commercial on tv. It said "You can slow down investing. You can stop investing entirely. But you can't stop daughters from falling in love." And then I thought, they have no idea how wrong they are. Every time I open my mouth...

And speaking of that Irish pub, click...

Computer generated police sketches seem inferior to hand drawn ones.

I might be going to New Orleans Sunday or Monday. Mike, a friend of mine from marchFIRST, had his startup go under in December, and he moved back to New Orleans, in the quarter even, all of a block from the Irish pub we played pool at on Andy's bachelor party trip thing. He said that the parades have been going past his house for like 2 weeks now.

My salvage business showed a profit yesterday. I'm in business 8 days and already in the black. Take that Amazon, and garden, and koop, and all the rest of you. To top it off, I've still got the lion's share of inventory yet to go thru. Anybody wanna buy an air conditioner?

On my way to the crossword puzzle I ran across this which blows my feeble mind.. Just goes to illustrate what scientists tell you is true is probably bullshit.
The media frenzy on Enron is getting old. Reminds me of Elian Gonzales. Nice house, Andy.

sadmind.com is still up. Weird. I told the hosting company to cancel my account months ago, and my registration of sadmind.com ran out at the end of January. By now, everyone should have refreshed their DNS settings, and the site should have disappeared.

Beth and I are going to buy this house. It's in town, but on a half acre. We're signing the contract today, but we don't close until March 14. That's a mixed blessing, I guess. While I'd love to move in now, realistically it'll take us a month to get packed up for another move, and then we have to actually do the moving. Also, our lease on our apartment doesn't even run out until then. I'm going to see if I can get the lease extended to the end of March, so that we have a good amount of time to get moved in, before we actually have to live there.

Who wants to come help us move? I have a three day weekend at the end of March...

Who wants bedsores?

It's snowing here in North Texas. It's 40, so it's melting as it's coming down, but it's actually snowing quite heavily here. It rained all night, so everything is already pretty soaked anyway.

Speaking of winter weather, Bill was in town last week. Kansas City froze over and half of the town was without power; and Bill got sick of having his gas stove be the only source of heat and light in his house.
