I can't watch it, myself. Beth wants me to, but I can't. I get really irritated when I feel like people are pulling at my heartstrings, even if it's for a good cause.

If you haven't donated anything for the disaster in New York, here's a group that very desperately needs donations, and is largely overlooked in the media.

Okay so I'm watching this tribute to heroes thing. It's hard not to watch since it's on 37 channels. I counted. Anyway, most everyone is being reasonably sensitive. I thought it was excellent that Billy Joel played "New York State of Mind." It's breaking my heart that people are afraid to come to New York now. I mean, this was clearly a freak incident. Anyway.

I just have one thing to say though.

Re: Limp Bizkit playing some freaky version of "Wish You Were Here" with hastily re-written lyrics. I seriously believe that we have suffered enough.

Well, with all the overflights of american ranches he undertakes, he might compromise trade secrets of the american goat-ranching industry. Back me up Devin.

What would an air marshall know that could possibly help the Aghans?

You wouldn't want an irresponsible debtor handling sensitive information, would you? What if some foreign government/organization found out about his debt problems? I'm sure they'd be happy to help him out in exchange for one or two harmless pieces of information...

You know they do a credit check as part of the investigation for a TOP SECRET clearance?

I just started reading The Crossing by Cormac McCarthy. It's a good book, despite its being about a boy and his wolf. Cormac McCarthy is a beautiful writer.

I read it wrong. I am qualified. I always wonder if they'll say that I'm a subversive because of some of the things I posted on sadmind. I'm not a subversive, I just don't always agree with US policy.

Seeing as I've never fired a semiautomatic pistol before, and haven't shot anything but my mouth in the last two years, I ought to come home for a week and refamiliarize myself with firearms in general.

Andy, what requirenments do you not fulfill? Previous arrests for domestic violence? Being a member of an organization which is attempting to overthrow the government? Not being willing to use deadly force in the course of your duties, as authorized by law? I wouldn't think that Beth would like you being gone for weeks at a time though.

I was thinking about applying. I have nothing keeping me from it, really.

My degree in Electrical Engineering makes me eligible to be a Sky Marshall. Kick ass.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: FV-G: 3 years of general experience. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other progressively responsible work; OR Completion of all requirements for a bachelor's degree in any field.

Beth suggested that I become an Air Marshall. The weird thing is that I got pretty interested, for a little bit. But unfortunately for me (though perhaps fortunately for the flying public), I don't meet the requirements for the job.

Argh. Stupid system.

I just typed a huge article about American Imperialist vs Isolationist views, and Blogger ate it. I'm going to sleep now.

Um, sure, I agree that Brazil sucks.

So hey here are my favorite places to go online, since whenever I think about what happened downtown I start crying.

The Conversatron.

The Conversawang. For when you've read all of the 'Tron's posts for the day.

Moving on.

It's funny, I've kind of made a name for myself among the approximately five people who read my other site as a supporter of the Palestinians. And so I understandably feel betrayed by their behavior following the attacks. But I'll deal with the Palestinians in a venue separate from willworkforflooz. Instead, I'd like to take this opportunity to slander the god-forsaken Brazilians. What a lousy bunch of Portuguese knock-offs. They have a river called the Amazon, but you know what? If you spend 600 dollars (US, not those crappy Brazilian dollars I got in Rio) for a plane ticket to Brazil to see the Amazon, you'll be surprised and disgusted to find that there aren't any sex-starved man-craving bare-breasted female warriors of love down there. No, all you'll find are a Cuban boatload (that's something I just made up to also piss off any Cubans who might read this site; it means a really crowded boat, or, more loosely interpreted, just a whole lot of something) a Cuban boatload of mosquitos.

Also, killer bees came from Brazil. So Brazil really sucks. Back me up, Loretta.

Jeremy says Steph doesn't get online much, and so isn't likely to post to the site. I say Steph is l4m3, not l33t.
